hosta have a winter dormancy REQUIREMENT ... something like 40 days or so ...

so i GUESS ... if you noted when they died down ... and then brought them in in say 60 days ... when the worst of winter hits.. it MIGHT work ...

they are not houseplants.. but you might be able to make it work ...

i would try next year.. with duplicates .... so if you have some that you could divide early this year.. you would be ready for the experiment ...

dont forget drain holes in pots ...

It would be worth trying one in an ordinary clay pot....see what happens.

I’ve picked my test hosta! I have 2 sprawling Grand Tiaras.
Though not minis, they have small leaves whose wide gold edges would look good
in a pot planted with annuals.

I won’t be ready to plant the potted annuals til our last
frost date in a month +, so will cut off a portion and plant it in the
vegetable garden until the rest is ready.
