This unit will heat up to 140 degrees F after filling in approximately 3 hours on a sunny day. When you initially turn the shower on, the water will come out at max temperature regardless of how far open the valve rests. As the hot water evacuates the tube, and the hose continues to fill it back up with cold water, you can begin using the shower when it reaches a comfortable temperature for you.
