Thank you for commenting, but isn't "drum" referring to the example table I posted? Is a rectangle dining room buffet that doesn't have legs called a "drum buffet"? I once read, if I'm not mistaken, tables that sit flat to the floor were tables that have a dust ______. I can't remember the blank.

Try adding "pedestal" or "solid base" or "chest type" to your search.

You can also try to eliminate the word "legs" from a google search by typing "-legs" after your search. That would theoretically remove any result that contains the word legs but it wouldn't necessarily remove a result that has legs if the word wasn't in the description.

Dumb question, but have you tried "media console without legs" as a search?

These pieces have a common element, they are all legless and the entire base/bottom has contact with the floor. Again, these are examples. I'm looking for the word that describes these type of pieces.

Thank you all! I have new words to google, I can stop climbing the walls! I have tried "legless" and "without legs" side tables (that's what I'm looking for) and the results were tables with legs...grrrrrr.

Click08.... no clue you post a table and ask for a name them post many others so I'm a bit lost with the add'l tables.

^^^Porter, the OP is asking about the base and not about the drum table itself. She is looking for a word for a base that is flat without legs. I wish I could help you OP, I don't know the interior design word for it either - but I get the question :)

@Porter Edun the OP is not looking specifically for a drum table, s/he is looking for the correct terminology for any table with no legs and no gap between base and floor. S/he has shown a few different examples of various tables with her desired base construction in the hope that someone will be able to give her the proper vocabulary for this general construction.

Try searching for 'case goods'. It's not a style, per se, but a functional description of the furniture. Case goods are items like chests, trunks, bookcases, cabinets, etc., the bodies of which sit directly on the floor.

So, 'case goods TV stand' may point you in the right direction.
