I bought a rectangular planter a few years ago and over the years I've noticed that everything I try to plant doesn't succeed. I'm not sure if it's the type of planter or what's going on. Everything else is growing just fine in other pots. As an example a few weeks ago I planted mesculin in both the green rectangular pot and a flat black plastic container. The flat container has vibrant plants growing but the rectangular pot has plants that are stunted. I've attached pics of both for comparison. I planted both on the same day with the same soil and same depth. I'd appreciate any advice I can get.
