Hazel, instead of using tape, I used corrugated cardboard to line the inside of my light coloured plastic containers. It helps absorb extra moisture and once soft/breaking down I replaced them with new pieces and the old ones could be ripped into small pieces quite easy. That would serve as bedding.

i did think of that but the box's have a shape (like pliers and valleys ) and i thought it would just be an aieria for worms to get trapped. it is know hassle to tape around the box's and i already had the tape any way. well i have now run out 1/2 way doing the last box. i dont need the box's for a couple a weeks yet. so all is well.
