Jennis, it's not too big, it's just not a good spot for the piece. I'm sure you can relocate it as it's a nice piece. The console tables can be found at 12" in depth at the top so you have room for it there.

Get a rug that is long enough to go right to the front door - that itty bitty rug at the door doesn't look good. Agree, it's a good idea to have a seat at the front door, but it is a little oversized.
