I am trying to find someone in the NY area that will do custom teak shutters in my bathroom, and specifically in the shower area as well. This is very common in the UK and I've found several people that make and install them there, but in the US, people are totally insistent that you can only do vinyl or wood composite in a shower. How come you see people do their entire bathroom, power, sink, etc in teak?! I understand they won't last 20 years and that they will "age", but that's a good thing. I never understand people obsession with things needing to look ageless. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
