I'm assuming since it's 2017 that the first photo, all gray, is the after. I've been looking on this site for a while now and all the "renovations" seem like a film negative to me...all grayed out and the same tones. Eh...just me, probably.

Thank you for the comment regarding the "film negative" feeling of these project images. Some of that feeling you are experiencing is intentional at this level of the project.

We used a very, subtle palette of colors, materials, and textures that were intended to be soothing and calming, because the home has two parents and four children ranging from the ages of 5 to 14. Right now all but one of our "projects" listed is this same home renovation/addition project.

The previous color scheme the Owner had was quite bright with a combination of intense navy, bright yellow, black, white and terracotta throughout the first floor of the home. The Owner wanted to bring the spaces back to a neutral palette with a variety of grays, off whites, subtle blues, handmade tile patterns and earthy wood materials.
