Kitchen Remodel Complete

We took the old kitchen, with white cabinets, dropped ceilings and closed walls - and we tore it all out. I literally tore out all the surrounding walls except the refrigerator wall as it is load bearing, and removed the drop ceiling. Everything had to be rewired and worked, but since the floor was replaced at the same time, and the basement was unfinished, it was easy enough to move things around with some effort. The before kitchen had plenty of space, but seemed jumbled. The new kitchen is clean and open, allowing access and sight from both the dining and family areas. I chose to make my statement with the Dekton countertops and it was the best decision ever. Every single person who walks in loves our counters. I did dark cabinets below, platinum cabinets above. I just love this space now and all that counter space is so great for cooking!

New kitchen from a few angles:

I have more than enough space now, and I LOVE the two big drawers to the left of my sink for plates. It never occurred to me to try that over cabinets. It's so much easier!

Monis Gonzalez, outside edge to outside edge of counters is 126.5 (dining to kitchenette) and 147 (window to fridge). Hope that helps.

It looks great. I noticed that there is a space between the top of your fridge and the upper cabinets. I have the same space in my newly remodeled kitchen and I am wondering if the space is needed for ventilation. I would have preferred less space showing.

@jeanette10, there was a piece of trim to fit and take away all space above the fridge. However, we actually didn't like it and the day we had to shimmy the fridge out to check a water line, it got caught on that piece of trim so we took it off and left it off. It was a sign! :)
