It seems we all love big old trees, so that's good but I agree, remove the front tree.

Definitely get an arborist to look at your trees. They might be salvagable.

As to colors, I suggest that you paint the garage and the sun room a grey similar to the roof, perhaps just a shade lighter. You want the intensity of the paint to be more or less equal to that of the brick.

Gray siding and garage door. Get rid of any foundation plants that are going to grow taller than the window sills.

Consider adding a porch area as well. With a pitched roof on the porch, it would add depth to your house. Right now the front just looks really flat and one dimensional. Some pops of color, either through flowers or shutter paint, would also go a long way to adding curb appeal.
