For sure mesembs, if a photo can help save a plant life i'll post one after work (: I was thinking about maybe making another cut off the end and letting it re-callous again? Hopefully the cut will spark new growth?

I think making a new cut would slow it down further, as it would have to re-callous and everything.

Photo for sure. Maybe you can put it somewhere with a little less light. Things can take a long time to root.

Here is pachy beheaded on Jan. 8th.

Few fallen leaves from same time, except the large one with few white roots that is only 2-3 weeks old:They were all callused for a day or two; stuck in a mix of grit, perlite and some turface. Started light watering about 3weeks ago as new growth started. Leaves just a bit earlier since they grew roots and plantlets faster (and I could see them).

They are on a shelve in front of W window, but in 'back row' :)

Doesn't look to be in danger of dying - still many leaves and stem. The end is not rotting is it?

Nothing you can do to make it absorb water - no roots not really practical/possible.

The stem is still really firm. It just looks really thirsty and i can't quench it :( How long/ should i wait?

Wait until it roots or give up and toss it. Patience. =)

There is nothing else that will make it root quicker. It was beheaded! It's going to look worse before it looks better.

Just leave it and when you see new growth it's time to start watering again. Over watered cuttings will rot, so be careful.
