I'm glad y'all are okay. That is too much rain! I hope a lot more doesn't fall, but think it will. This just seems like one of those years for y'all.

Was thinking about you Carol when I saw our family posting flooding up there. I can honestly say I do not miss the flooding we experienced. 20" is crazy but is so indicative of NE Oklahoma.

Carol I got back home around 7 this evening. Got a call yesterday telling me the 4-8 inches of snow had turned into a full force blizzard and that roads were closed and power out. So stayed another day. The worst I've ever seen here. A lot melted but still got 15" or more accumulation with 50 mph winds. At least it is warm so hopefully in 5-6 days most will be gone. Had rain before the snow started. Dumped 3.3 but know that don't reflect what was in the snow accurately. Power may be back on Thursday. Lost over half of my favorite tree. Not sure if it is worth saving it not. No where to go with the plants so they will have to survive without lights for a few days. Glad you are ok. Hope the rain lets up for you and me. They are saying a very good chance tomorrow night. Maybe it will melt some of the drifts.

That's a lot of water carol! Glad everyone is ok though. Looks like this gardening season is gonna be tricky..

I was told that they had said Thursday at the earliest before we would recieve power back. I got home to five foot drifts still up to just feet from my doors. Only one door I could get in. The drive was similar so parked close to the highway and it will be several days before one car is moved. Being the optimist I turned on one light switch. At 11:30 was woke by the light coming one. Got back to bed and woke again at 1:30 because the lights on the light shelf came on. They were out of whach from being off. So turned them off and will set them this morning. They say 80 by Saturday so the snow should be a lot less by the start of next week and maybe I can think about planting. So nice to have power back. Everything in the fridge should be ok now.

Jay, I was thinking of you when I started seeing photos and videos of the snow, and sure was hoping you were down in Leedey. What an amazing blizzard that was for late April. Friends of ours were visiting family near Garden City for the weekend and originally had planned to drive home Sunday so they could be back at work, and the kids back at school, on Monday. Well, they got snowed in, so that plan didn't work out so well. I bet the kids loved seeing the snow though.

At least the lights came back on!

So, for old times sakes, guess what I found in my garden yesterday? Herbicide drift damage on several tomato plants and on catnip. It was not a surprise. I get it every year and I saw a guy across the road spraying on Friday, so I expected it. Some things never change. I guess it would be more noteworthy if I had an April and May when I didn't get herbicide drift damage.

I hope you get to plant this weekend. It feels like it ought to be time up there for Mother Nature to settle down and let y'all get on with Springtime activities.

Dawn, I am sooo sorry about the drift. That is so discouraging.

My modem got fried some time back too. So my husband bought a surge protector (that has coax/DSL protector) to protect our modem and electronics.

Thanks y'all, you know how it is.....it happens every year, and usually 4 or 5 times. For a long time I only got Round-Up damage. I think the guy maintaining the fenceline for the absentee owners used only Roundup along the fenceline back then. Flash forward 10 or 15 years and now we see 2, 4 D drift damage more often. Everyone here in our neighborhood (except us) seems to use these chemicals. I have no issue with them using them. My issue is that they do not use them carefully enough to prevent drift. It is what it is and it isn't likely to change
