Thank you nmp19! I didn't intend to share this much but it started getting a little more about other things than cabinets. I know my taste is not for everyone and I'm not offended by those who hate my green paint! I think a lot of styles are nice, they're just not me. There's a story in every room of my home and it makes me feel good. My dining room is burnt orange with a huge orange tapestry...I'll take a pic tomorrow and let people discuss that! Lol

Yes paint bottom of cabinets green, it will ground it more. You have window shelves. You don't need glass doors.

Melony, I hear people giving you advice that you may not like. My advice to you is that when a PRO gives you advice ... look up their work that they post here on HOUZZ if you don't like it then do opposite of what they tell you. I had one trash my ideas one time and when I looked her up she had done a RED backsplash! Not everyone has good taste or the same taste.

Here's a few more. It's very overcast today, so bear with the misty film over it. I just wanted to show my cabinets; each has a slightly different knob, as do my shutters. Also, I thought I'd attach a little pic of me..someone asked how I dress. Hmmm, pretty normal, just which decade is up in the air!

I'm, also, redecorating my basement. I'm looking to make it look like an art gallery with one side being classics and the other being B movie posters.

I love our little nook in the woods. When we moved here almost 2 years ago, there was no real landscaping. My husband planted some baby trees last year and now we've got cherries! Also, I have a small, suburban garden.

I'm eccentric and eclectic...philosophy major...so I welcome all ideas!

All these comments for glass doors! hahaha love it. Have you considered new knobs instead for added jazz...it might have been mentioned but this is just one small comment....knobs can add sparkle and shine like glass doors and it is spread all over the kithen with sparkle here and there without add more 'detail'.

Susan- I have different, Ceramic knobs on each door. And they are bright and colorful! Thanks happy! I feel happy!

He's awesome at this...does it in the evening, after work. He built plantation shutters for 8 windows in less than a month!

And while building shutters, made me a spice chest out of old wood from my great-great grandparents' home.

It’s been a long time since I posted, but I just wanted to write about my new kitchen project. It’s not finished yet, as my hubby has just started refinishing a vintage set we purchased at an estate auction, but I’ve got new fun things in my home since last postings!
