Actual size of vent

The dimensions show 12 inches but on the manufacturer.'s website it Shows 10 inches. Is this because of the length of pipe at the bottom of the vent?

    The width of the BetterVent is 10 inches. The height is 12", not including the opening at the bottom. The opening where the transition duct is adds another 2". To clarify, the dimensions of the BetterVent are 14" H (including the "pipe"), 10" W, 5.25" D. Sorry for any confusion.
