Bloomers 2017

Hi everyone!

I want to start a thread to keep record of my blooms this year. Most of these plants are new and bought in bloom/in spike, so don't give me TOO much credit ;)

Feel free to add your growing tips/suggestions, they're always appreciated. I am right on the border of zone 7a and 7b in southeastern Pennsylvania. Summers are hot and humid, winters are cold and windy.

second bloom on my large Phrag. Don Wimber x bessae, such a pretty combination of pink and yellow with cute little freckles

NOID Oncidium(?) I got this weekend from Silva's. VERY flouriferous, has another bloom spike growing as well

edit: thanks to a lovely member here on GW, we're pretty sure this is Onc. Volcano Midnight "Volcano Queen".

My current favorite, Lycaste cruenta. Smells so, so good and the foliage is gorgeous. I don't even mind the naked pb's either (deciduous variety).

Lest we forget, my reblooming Phal. No clue as to the ID, but I have a soft spot for green flowers and I love the lip color.

Not currently in bloom: Onc. Twinkle (white), Brassavola hybrid, Cattleya hybrid, a few tiny Den. Kingianum (tentative ID), Den. Aggregatum, and Onc. Alosuka "Claire," but all are currently in active growth

I love all your orchids. My absolute favorite is the Lycaste! But the close second is the Phrag. Just love the color and shape of the flower.

this Lycaste smells DELICIOUS when it gets some daytime warmth. And the first bloom on that Phrag looked better for some reason:

Onc. Romance "Oro Rojo" with 2 spikes

and Onc. Sherry Baby with a 2.5ft tall inflourescence. Both from PHS :)
