Abnormal spots and growth pattern

This is the second heirloom affected. Neighbors like Big Beef, Orange Blossom (both hybrids) and Mortgage Lifter seem unaffected as of yet.

I pulled the other plant three days ago and destroyed it. This plant is on the opposite corner of the garden.

Most plants seem okay. Just some leaf diseases on bottom leaves only, which I remove. While the fruit set rate for the beefsteaks seem low, their are some superstars. The Dr. Wyches Yellow is keeping pace with the Cherokee Carbon. Both are out pacing Big Beef. Cherokee Purple is starting to load up, a little late getting started, but soldering on, not showing any disease as is normal for this dependable variety in my zone.

I have three Ananas Noire. Two seem to attract pests and are weakened. I am using insecticidal soap late at night directly on pests I can see.

These are photos from this morning. This is a Prudens Purple. I will follow with some photos from this afternoon.

I've had that happen before too. I think it was my black krim last fall. If I remember right I still got fruit, but not a whole lot and I think the fruit was spotted a lil bit. I don't think it really spreaded to other plants, but I wanna say the yeild was low.

The stem also was kind of dark and it felt oiler if that makes sense. I never did find out what it truly was.

I checked the other thread Kevin. Sorry your plants are not going to make it. I do look forward to your next thread.

I have never grown tomatoes in a container, only in ground.

The next photo is of an insect. I was going to post it here and ask if this is a good bug or a bad bug. After taking a look at the photo, I can clearly see this is a bad bug. I can see he is doing something bad and I think I can see the holes he made on the right side of the tomato.

He will meet the underside of my shoe tomorrow. I also have a bugzooka That I can use.

The close up leaf pic looks like grey mold. Are you using any fungicides? Can't see the bug all that well but possibly a stink bug instar?

That bug was still in the same place this morning and tonight. I went for him tonight. He jumped in the straw. I stomped him but not sure it worked. I can see where a nice platter of insecticidal soap was would work well for him to jump in to. I wlll get him next time.
