New granite feels gritty.

Just got my new white ice granite countertops and I love them. I didn't touch them for 2 days didn't want to mess up the seal. I wiped them down with a little soap and water and dried them. Today I noticed they felt gritty or sandy, wiped down again and used microfiber cloth. Later my husband noticed it, we don't have any construction or any reason for them to be getting dirty. Anybody else have this problem?

My granite continues to feel gritty after one month. The fabricator doesn't stand behind their work as I had other problems too.

Thanks for all the info very helpful, I see I'm not the only one. It feels better today after using my Scrub Daddy lightly on it.

Something you may not have considered. Are you using dish soap on it? If so, I would stop immediately. You may damage them further. Here's a short resource that might be of assistance. Cleaning Granite Countertops
