Closed Lighting Unit?

Is the light area open in the bottom or is it a closed unit? I was looking for a fixture that bugs won't collect in the bottom of the lighting fixture. Thanks !

It's open at the bottom, but you want it to be so you can easily change the bulb and so water doesn't collect.

The bottom of this outdoor wall sconce is open, to make changing the light more accessible.
