Are you talking about the dried up leaves? Not sure, perhaps from a herbicide drift.. the top looks good, cut branches back flush with trunk.

I was thinking the same thing. None of the other trees around it are affected, though, and I don't spray anything on my property. This picture is a week or so old. The top is starting to look pretty bad, too. I will see if I can get another picture.

Looks like inital growth got killed by frost and then later growth was fine. Tree should be fine.

I am guessing (hoping) that is it. I went out and looked at it today and there is some new growth that looks really good.
