I planted Mint seeds, but Is this Mint?

Hello,

I planted Mint seeds and was happy to see them grow into a healthy seedling!

One problem though, they don't look like Mint, nor do they have any minty scent.

I have included a photo, can anyone confirm the plant is actually Mint, and if so, why is there no scent and why such a different appearance?

    Mint is very, very easy to root from cuttings and not so easy to grow from seed. Getting cuttings from a friend or neighbor, or as miscel suggests, from a bunch that you buy at the market, is probably the best way to go.
