Have you painted your walls yet? If not, you will probably see your creamy cabinets loose some of the “yellowness” because the light will be reflecting off of the Coventry grey walls while your crown will stay pretty much the same because of reduced light at the ceiling line. Combination of different light reflection throughout the day and night, the position of the painted surface and the amount of any one surface plane determines how your eye interprets the color. The cabinets have a large flat surface plane so they will always show a different hue of the same color than the crown in the same color. Also, the cabinets are recipients of more light and reflections than the ceiling/crown. Shade differences provide subtle highlights to details which add depth to a room and a strong backdrop for furnishings. White Dove is a favorite color of designers because it works well with both warm and cool colors. Once you have everything in place and you are functioning in the kitchen, the hue differences will not be your focus which is now the case as you critically look at each individual step in the process. Not sure about your frustration level but I wouldn't go crazy over this.

I have white satin on my cabinets. I have no kids so don't know if it would make it hard for you to keep them clean. I try to wipe as I see spots.

What color is the trim ? We have no idea of the space as for the orange wall paint colors often need to change when cabinets are painted .
