So tiny they are!

They're adorable but, yes, a relentless pain in the proverbial dark recesses. I'm going to have to concoct a chicken wire tray cover for my seedlings ... and a cage for my berries, tomatoes & peppers. The iguanas think I'm planting for them!

The finches tried making a nest on my porch last week, right in my hanging basket of Thanksgiving cactus. I had to remove the nest twice, then finally put a big, googly-eyed frog in there to scare them away. They think it's a person looking at them and won't go near it now.

The Grey King Bird is worse. They are aggressive and peck your head if they have a nest close by ... they really don't care that it's your house. Those are medium sized and sing so beautifully in many different tones.

Alma, sometimes I feel like I'm in another country. The other day I was walking to the post office and had to cross the street to avoid walking past a giant, white crane. That was a little scary for this NYC gal. I hear cranes attack if they feel threatened. I just looked the other way, walked on eggshells and said a silent prayer as I walked past. I almost had a heart attack when it raised its wings and jumped a fence. LOL!

Lol, I thought they only ate greens and fruit. Not french fries. Thats a nice looking iguana. Ours was about that sz. They seem so friendly.
