We have clover in our yard, and it doesn't seem to deter the rabbits from eating other things if left within reach. They just eat both, with preference for the potted chard.

This will be my 3rd year in this house/garden. I garden in the front yard on a corner lot. In year 1 I had issues with rabbits chewing the bark on newly planted trees, chewing up my strawberry plants, and nibbling my blueberry bushes to the ground. I caged the trees and blueberries, and prayed for the strawberries.

In year 2, I planted clover along the sidewalk all the way around to crowd out weeds. The rabbits have kept the clover neatly trimmed. :D But they didn't cause any other noticeable damage in the yard at all last year.

This winter, however, they've been digging through the snow to get to the clover, and have made a mess on the sidewalk. :P
