The exposed bulb and living with a deck ceiling make sure what ever you use has adjustment to attach to your ceiling. Wood ceiling= hard to install lighting over a table. google david trubridge. its unique and mid century and a little different that exposed bulb trend

I agree with RM above - the exposed bulbs will get lost in your space.

I think you need a rug to define the dining area as well.

Plus: are those sliding doors out to the driveway? Do you use them? Consider covering the doors with privacy film - could stop it 3/4 of the way up. Also - the drapery you have selected is cool; just looking skimpy. Double the amount of panels.

The west elm chandelier would look fabulous, although I think you should make the curtain white, or grey, and add a hint of gold to the table, maybe with a centerpiece keep it minimal!

Not sure of the location, but this is a very unique fixture and would go with your modern/contemporary/cabin type vibe. You can operate from your smart phone through your WiFi too! Great conversation piece. Minimalistic in look. Agree, drapes don't quite do the room justice. I would look for a dark gray drape and just pull them all to the sides, none in the middle.

The area is actually floor to ceiling windows now sliders.... here is the res of the house. Sorry it's a mess in process of moving in....

We just put this chandelier in my art studio (former dining room) and I absolutely love it! It is also very bright. I have the Mobile Chandelier - Large.

I'm confused. Could you delete the photos that aren't the current state of the room, because it is confusing to know exactly what you are doing? If you are working with the long table and this is being transformed into a dining room? And you need electrical boxes to hang new chandeliers/pendants, two would be very nice. You would need to place the table so the position of the two pendants hang in concert with the sliders. and the beams. Tricky to get right, but if you make sure your furniture is in the right place, it can be done. If you can't get the 2 pendants spaced well, then one long, rectangular fixture would be best.

Something like this might work well.

You will have to measure how far your "drop" of a chandelier should be to get the bottom of the chandelier approx. 30-32" from the top of the dining table. Modern fixtures have more "post" type designs, and with your ceiling and beams, this will be a big factor in your selections. The easiest would be ones hanging from a chain. So, a bit tricky, but not impossible.

Sorry follow the other picture was the living room area on the other side of this looks kind of like the same room but it's not. The mounting is really going to determine what type of chandeliers I can use. The one that RM suggested. Could be a great option but I feel like the table so long I would need multiple.

I have the same one, love it, but there are many others I could have gone with. I am in the process of changing all chandeliers to something more mod to add a little artsy flair, this is the only one I've changed out so far, to replace the old 90's ceiling fan. I'm not certain it's the best one for my living room, but I can always move it to the office, if I find one I like better. I like a little eclectic transitional mix, so went with what I liked.

Love your rug with blue accents! Your living room looks very comfy, love the over sized chairs too! Maybe whatever chandiler you choose, don't block your windows. Love the large windows and outdoor light!

We ended up hanging this blk polyhedron we already had sitting around from our last house.....

When you can't decide free isn't a bad option. Still may change it out as I know it's small and competes with the other lighting in the kitchen.

Here's the Sputnik I was referring to swapping.

The sputnik has more width and presence, so I would swap them at least for now. Eventually, I would want a linear chandelier for your long table.
