We have had this sink installed three times. Once because we broke it it and the second time because of a house fire. This one has been in for two and a half years and it is still looks new. It is difficult to keep the grids clean. I have been looking for something to protect the bottom of the bowls and have not found anything. Ideally I would like to find something raised with metal rails and rubber feet.

I agree. I have rubber mats which are nasty to keep clean but keep the bottom from pot n pan marks. I did find something close on Amazon but it's $40+ per each. May try it and will let u know

I am having the same troubles, love my sink and don't understand why IKEA doesn't make something to fit. I got the biggest one that BBB sells and it doesn't cover the entire sink, I figured it was better than nothing?! I can move it up to the top of the sink in order to have the drain line up with the opening in the grid. When I have company I remove it just because it looks like it doesn't belong.

well well well, just got my sink and am quite shocked that no one out there makes an aftermarket metal grid for this IKEA double sink. Someone is missing out on a serious business opportunity... will keep checking this thread or post myself to see if one is ever found.

I purchased his grid on Amazon. It fits the single bowl sink like a glove. Except.. The hole is about an inch off for the drain. I found this on amazon for Domsjo Double Bawl - stainless steel guards with raised legs / rubber boots -. slightly smaller that the bawl bottom - 12.75" x 11" ... but better than nothing and won't stink like those rubber mats. ... and btw - these are only $10 - http://amzn.to/2bLXoTJ

I bought the $10 grids on amazon for my domsjo double sink. These are way too small and look silly. Don't waste your money. And then I found this kohler model for $56 on amazon (set of two grids): https://www.amazon.com/Kohler-K-6639-ST-Whitehaven-Stainless-Bottom/dp/B005ECLESG

I received them today and they fit like a glove! You just have to switch them and place the one with a hole in the left bowl so that they can be level (the legs are not all the same length to account for the slope in the bottom of the bowls). Don't look any further: anyone who wants sink grids for the domsjo double bowl should buy this model right away!

I found something that Koehler made that might work. It has the right dimensions. I didn’t think this would be necessary but I just noticed that the sink stains and knives can actually nick the surface if it not protected.

Hi, I'm looking for a grid for the domsjo double bowl sink. I checked out the Kohler ones that yvvvvhad recommended earlier but it looks to me like the dimensions on the product are too big for the domsjo double bowl. Wondering if anyone can speak to the specific model of Kohler grid that I should get that fits the sink properly? Here are the options of the different models:

Lucia, I actually purchased the grids that yvvvv had recommended and unfortunately were a smidge too big that they would’ve scraped the side of the sink. I will have to look into the others you’ve recommended though! Thanks!

Val, thanks so much for your insight! I'm curious - were they too big both in width and in depth (from front to back), or just in width? The other options I posted are narrower, so if width was the only problem and not depth, they might work.

Lucia, the issue was with the width, because it’s only about 13.5”. Depth is about 14”. Although from what I read there seems to be two slightly different versions of the sink in the past several years so that plays a factor also. Wish IKEA would just sell a grid and make things easier for us. :)

It's a smaller size than the Kohler ones that someone posted previously. I did some extensive research on the Kohler website on the exact size of the grids, and that one fits in the double bowl sink without scratching the sides (note it's the

KOHLER K-6638-ST) - I found that keeping track of that product ID number was important bc Kohler makes a lot of sink grids that vary slightly in size.

. It also goes nicely around the garbage disposal opening, though I will say that the garbage disposal opening side is not a PERFECT fit. But it works. We're about six weeks into using the sink grids and are very happy with them.

DIDN"T work for me as my disposal is on the right, It would work for someone who has the disposal on the left side though. Sadly, had to pay shipping back and return the grid today.

My disposal is on the right too and I just switched the grids and rotated the disposal one 90 degrees to make it fit (so it’s in the sink horizontally instead of vericallu). It’s not as good a fit as if my disposal had been on the left but it’s working!

For those with a single sink - I used the Blanco BL221014
It is very well built with nice padded feet and side bumpers. It could be bigger as it can move front to back about an inch and side to side about 1 to 1 1/2 inches. The opening aligns very nicely with the drain. I'm very happy with the match to the sink.

Has anyone found a dish rack whose drain pan fits over the lip of this sink?

I know this is an old post, but just found this sink on Marketplace and installed it. This is what I did. I bought two of theses from BBB. About $15 ea with 20% off. The rubber ends come off. I measured to 13” and drew a line on each one. I then cut with a jigsaw. You can use a hacksaw, but not snips as the poles are hollow and it punches them closed. So I’m late to the party but have been going crazy trying to find a grid that fits well. I found this option at Lowes that seems to be the best fit. I tried most of the options people shared here and a bunch of random finds, but this was the winner.
