Wattle beds

Has anyone else tried making wattle beds? I am loving it so far! I am just wondering what everyone's opinion is on how it worked for them? Created the fencing and then did the lasagna gardening thing instead of filling with dirt. Turned out beautiful -the soil..

Everything I could get my hands on. Lol. What worked best though was the small straight sumac trees I wanted gone that were swamping my garage. Otherwise what worked really well was the suckers growing up around some of my willows.
