Solar Shades

I am wondering whether it is possible to hang solar glare cutting shades from the ceiling as opposed to mounting them on the sides of the window. My window trim on the sides is set at an angle so the sides are not parallel to one another. I have always received such good advice here and appreciate any insight you might have to offer.

You could and if the gap between the top of the trim and the ceiling isn't far, it probably won't look too bad.

That said, you can level up the mounting bracket for the shades pretty easily with some washers and proper fastener placement. I did it on my blinds and they are dead level.
