I have two: one in ground and one in pot. Hardiness is marginal here in Pittsburgh. The one in ground almost died when had that pretty bad winter a few years back. It is slowly bouncin back but much smaller than what it used to be. The one in the pot gets winter protection and is doing very well.

They do make nice bonsai subject. Interesting bark and beautiful flowers. There are some dwarf varieties available these days too.

If you want some seeds that I collected let me know.

PK, I should just reach out to you rather than post here ;)

I'd love a couple seeds!

Today I noticed a small CM near the mother plant in the middle of a spinach patch. Hope it is a seedling and not a root sucker. I will dig it out for you sometimes this week. You can have seeds also. I will email you.

Oh wow - thats awesome! Thanks!
