A love seat and two chairs might suit you. You can define the area with an area rug in a solid, tweed type, or patterned. Use the color or colors of the rug to help you pick paint and leather or fabric. Place the love seat toward the tv and put a chair on each side of the love seat, forming a four-seat conversation arrangement. Don't forget art on the wall, and lighting as needed.

Imo, the red doesn't help keep the serene look, but adding blue/white pattern might...

I really like the aberdine rug and Lake Michigan print and colors. I think that if I could find a little love seat or two small recliners in a soft, camel leather, the room might start coming together.

The mirrors would be nice to bring in more light.

Those mirror sets come in another called rose gold and even red.... you could if you really liked, hang 5 or 6 of them on large wall, over chair/ near lamp....

That would be pretty. Yes, I was thinking of the sofa across from the TV and 1-2 smaller chairs in the lamp corner at the two "corners" opposite of the sofa. I like the sofa but not the shiny legs. Going to keep looking.

Thinking about replacing the lamp with something that would hang, or a floor lamp. That whole small blue table is awkward and cluttered.

Love your home and adorable dog :) You can put a love seat by the stairs and 2 chairs flanking the fireplace...or...put 2 chairs by the stairs and 2 chairs flanking fireplace (no love seat).

What about two chair and a half and a center ottoman? Hard to know what will fit without room dimensions.

you will get the most bang for your buck, install a mirror covering the entire wall adjacent to the fireplace behind the sofa. it will double the size of the room.

If you like the idea of two kitchens, mirror will definitely give you that. Consider a settee and two comfortable chairs; all within the proper scale for your space.

You mentioned you like PB, so thought the ideas below may be of interest. Two wide chairs with ottomans or use a padded coffee table to rest your feet. A chair on either side of the fireplace or bench seating would be great as well. Once you add rattan blinds, a rug and pillows, the room will be lovely - don't forget to edit the far wall. Before moving ahead with the seating, consider how you would like the whole room to feel and how to connect it all. Actually PB has a sale on and the chair below with a wool/natural fiber rug would be lovely in your space. Try for rustic/light/airy and comfy.

Thanks everyone for the ideas! I decided on a Pottery barn 81" sofa with round arms in a indigo blue, the Pottery Barn Irving recliner chair in caramel leather and another pottery barn Irving chair swivel chair in a creamy tweed. I'll accent with pillows and tie together with an area rug. I am going to keep my round table. Still thinking about the wall above the sofa. So excited!

Art above the sofa can be as large as 60" wide. Hang it 5" above the sofa back. Show us the pix when you get it all arranged!

Why not try less? A couch/loveseat and two chairs? It might work better in that small of a space to try furniture that fits better. You could always have the couch against the wall and the two chairs facing the couch.
