What sort of scares me about Bonnie's patterns are the small sizes she uses. And here you have done her one better! Wow! It really is lovely.

When you said you made it half-size, I assumed that you used fewer blocks, not that you made smaller pieces. Wow! It's beautiful. Quite an accomplishment. I don't blame you for letting it rest a while before you quilt it.

I wish I could see it in person. I can't imagine that many small pieces. It is lovely.

Donna, It might be 'busy' but the pattern is still very distinct, so it isn't too busy. At least that's my opinion. I can't feature making it half size like you did. I only made 6 blocks (regular size) and I was more than ready to be done with it. Excellent job!

Thank you all! Yes, I should know better than to make a BH pattern in half size! The squares in the 4-patches finished at 3/4".

Sharon, I was surprised how distinct the pattern looks in the picture. In person, to me, it looks much less distinct.

Do you sew a 3/4" 4 patch by hand? I can't imagine doing that on the machine. I think mine would "eat" those small seams.

Oh, no, it's all machine sewn. I don't think I'd have the patience to do it by hand! :)

The actual 4-patches are 1-1/2". It's the individual squares that ended up at 3/4".
