Condo with single space Living room/ dining room

Hi! Moving to a condo with dining room/ living room space. The room has grey tile floors. I would love advice on how to decorate. Looking general advice for overall space and any ideas for a large soft rug for the living room area and advice on a media center..go with white media center or wood? Full wall media center with book shelves or not!! All ideas welcome!!
