planting conifers

I had viburnum roots ground out last night in preparation for conifer plantings. He went down about 2 feet. The tress are being delivered this Thursday May 25. I wanted to plant this weekend. I have 2 yards of top soil to add to the area and I planned on stomping around to compact the soil. It is going to rain a couple day this week, I know I can also use water to settle the dirt but I am worried about planting in 5 days. The area is 16' x 16'. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I bought a B&B Green Mountain Box wood about 4 feet tall. A Blue shag white pine about 2.5 feet tall. A Montgomery Spruce about 4 feet tall and a 2 foot tall Medora juniper. to go in the area.

thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Sue
