It's in shock from shipping and transplanting. Water it according to instructions. Proper sun too. Be patient. When it recovers loosen the the ties to the stake.

I think I might've over watered the plant :( thinking of removing some of the weak looking leaves and putting it in shade under another tree and watering it twice a week only. Will that help?

Too much water did that. Let the soil dry almost completely, put it in a quite warm area but not in full sun. Later you need to repot. That plant is too small for that pot, that pot will kill the plant as water remains. Also apply foliar micronutrients incl iron to balance the tree

Thanks all. I removed 50% of leaves mostly those which r in bad shape, I water once every 5 days now and the plant gets no direct sunlight and is under the shade of a bigger tree. It's brought indoors at night. I may be getting excited too soon but here is something unnoticed today at the top of the main stem. Is this good news?

Another 2 weeks later... Those tiny leaves in the previous pic have become this.. each of the leaves are longer and wider than previous ones

hi @Dave, i've been putting the plant in ~ 4 hours of morning sun from 7am - 11am so far every day, The afternoon temperature reaches 85F and the plant is shaded by a bigger tree... should I increase the sun time from 4 to 6-8 hours?
