Definition and gentle curves would do the trick. Your house is nice and neat but looks like it hasn't been changed since the builder put the grass in. I'd put lots of plants in along the bare garage wall in various sizes (tall in back), and gently round the walkway to the house and the driveway. A new surface would be nice for the walkway too.Then a bit of clean up in the area under the tree with a separation between the grass and bare area.....build up the ground and put an edging in to keep it neat.. I like that the yard is kept so well tended...it just needs some personality now.

I love your brick home and the details and the high pitched roof. I will check back in I think you could have a gorges home with a bit of updating. Is your front door painted or stained ? I could see some color at the front door with shutters on just the front door in a color to brighten that area and a new larger light fixture. The garage lights could be much larger to add some interest. Possibly 18" -24" tall. In a new more updated finish.

The landscaping needs to be more defined I feel it looks sort of blurred together and over grown it needs more defining.

I would do a large dark mulch in a soil brown instead of the reddish color that clashes with the brick and do the
shade tree to with a large ring of mulch around it.

If you were to do a accent color what would you like? Turquoise, Green, or even white shutters on the door would make it more of a focal point the porch seems to be dark from the photos from the street view.

A nice medium Gray might be a good color to do the garage doors. Sort of the gray of the fence next to the garage.

Love the note about the mulch color. I'll change that!! And the light fixtures! 18-24" noted!! The brick pops out (hard to see) around the doors and windows. I assume that's why they never installed shutters. Yes the front door is stained but we have a new white door planned. The bed in front of the windows is curved very nice, should I put a little bed around the tree trunk? The bed along the garage was full of hostas according to the neighbor. She said they just got too much sun and heat, I'll look for some more tolerant. So, is the white door and trim okay? The windows will have to stay white...

The garage door is central. Select a garage door with character. Your outdoor lights beside the garage are too small. Use black and go with a lantern that is large. Add real working exterior shutters to the windows. They cost more but are well worth it. On your brick wall leading to the door I would add a wall fountain. The sound would be wonderful as guests approach. Landscape around it with deep green evergreen shrubs (boxwood and Holly) so that in the winter it will still look beautiful. Add lighting to this area for a beautiful sight at night. Use a ground cover under the tree next to the front walk. And to top it all off I would add an iron fence with a gate leading from the garage to the house. What a great house

I would also remove the storm door and add a black solid wood door. Enlarge the light fixture in this area as well. Place two huge urns with flowers next to the door.

I would only use shutters on the front door. The double windows won't look right with shutters. IMHO

Great advice. I would also add lights with more presence on either side of the garage. I've seen people with similar triangles above their garage add a piece of decorative iron art. Stars are popular around here but I live in Texas.

Here's a pic , not the best but what I was talking about. I think it would cover the brick mold on each side of the door. and make it feel grander and a chance to add a accent color or even white to visually bring the front door to more of a focal point from the street.

A small pergola in front of the garage as show above would look great. As suggested or the wrought iron topper above the garage door . Kirklands have several one is 5 feet wide to add a bit of interest for under $50.
