My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Counter top on shelving?

Love the idea of adding a "counter top" to the Expedit shelving. Can I ask what material you used and is it sturdy? Making over our office/playroom and this idea solves an issue of a very large all in one printer location I've encountered. Thank you!

    I topped the whole thing off with the two long surfaces in the Lack TV Unit (my own little Ikea hack) which I attached together with a brace from Home Depot. The two together were the perfect length and depth for my room and the built-in as a whole. I like the thickness of it as a counter top and the way it just visually finished it all off. I will say, it's great if you're on a serious budget, but as far as durability, it's really just as durable as any of the Expedit pieces. Good luck!
