They are what they are…60’s probably, and there is no way to make them taller and keep the upholstery as is. I would say, if you love them, leave them alone. Find a vintage Larsen sofa to match.

Would bed risers work? There are some that are solid wood.

Lowes and Home depot have furniture legs in various sizes and shapes..They can be stained or painted if needed...Not sure if you can remove the skirt on the chairs if you intend to keep the upholstery..remove skirt and cover any unfinished area with a neat band of the fabric you removed or buy some cool trim..you could also leave the skirt and add trim to the bottom..Did this with my old slipcovered sofa and it worked like a charm..Does depend on what the feet/casters are attached to and they will get rickety if you go to high. The taller the legs the shorter the skirt will look. Instead of trying to make the chairs taller place them together and do a dramatic piece of art or a mirror behind them. Possibly set the art on the floor. That will give them height and presence.

Add a couple of pillows on the floor at the base of the art/mirror.

Somethings aren't meant to change. If you want to completely recover the chairs you could maybe add taller legs but you're going to spend a whole lot of money and possibly ruin the look of the chairs. Let that be a last resort.

Where did you plan to use them in your home? Do you have a spot to put them? Can you show us a picture of the area?

Smaller chairs can also look good in a bedroom sitting area.

They do not need to be taller. They are fine as is.

This is all good feedback! Thank you everyone for taking the time to help me figure this out. After some research, trips to Home Depot, and reading through your comments, I think I'm going to leave the chairs like they are for now.

@leelee, I originally planned to put the chairs in the living room; but I hear you when you say move them to bedroom or sitting area... this has also crossed my mind. Here's a picture of the chairs in the living room. I plan on eventually flipping the sofa with the chairs, but you get the idea.

I don't know what people are saying about a skirt. There isn't any skirts on those chairs. Turn the chairs over and see what kind of legs you have. If they are screw on ones, you can replace them easily. If they are wood, then cut them off and drill a holeto put screw in ones on or use a plate as suggested by others. They would look nice with a wooden taper leg. And I agree they are too low to the floor. You can bring them up with a 2 to 3 inch tapered leg.
