We are looking to purchase an older ranch style home due to budget restraints in a neighborhood with excellent schools (northbrook, il) we think the best way to get a house big enough for the family is to purchase one with a kitchen that has not been updated and then renovate it after buying the home.

What was cost to remodel the niles one. and what is cost range to do so?

these L-shaped kitchens typically have short cabinets with wall space above and a tiny oven built into the wall. We would like to get estimated renovation cost to update with 42" cabinets granite stainless etc.. Any thoughts?
