Love that dresser, and especially the runner ... what a special tribute to you Mom...lovely!

So important to keep these treasures in the family and that the story is known about them so that they can continue to be handed down. This pattern looks like Tumbling Blocks......I've never made it and admired anyone who does any 3-D type quilts. Good for you to finish what your mom started. It was a special thing to do today. Great looking runner.

That goes perfectly. I've made 3 quilts using my Mom's embroidered blocks, one for myself, one for my sister, and one for an Aunt. My Aunt cried when she opened the package I sent her and read the note attached about Mom's center block.

Thank you, everyone! Yes, Sharon, it's tumbling blocks. It's pretty easy to hand-piece. I think it would be more challenging to machine piece it.

I also have an attic window that she started, and lots of blocks or partial blocks and cut pieces. Some of them will be a challenge to figure out what she was planning for them! I'm also working on assembling over 300 crocheted granny squares into lap blankets.
