It will be expensive and frustrating to fill the wall. Why not a great piece right at the landing?

I have a similar open stairway. About 10+ years ago I covered it with wallpaper including the adjacent upstairs and downstairs hallways. It took me a while to find something I loved and it's one of the few things in my home that has not been changed. Just an idea! I also like the wainscoat suggestion. Good luck!

If you have the funds to do the artwork, wallpaper, or recessed panel wainscoting, it depends on the look you want- All would look great. Another look would be to paint the accent wall to the right a dark gray and one fantastic statement piece at the bottom of the stairs. Mirror would work too.Not particularly this art work showing you color visual. Can you show photo of adjoining rooms to have a better idea of space? Thx so much.

I always thought an aquarium would be great on a wall like that.

The mill work is beautiful, but super expensive in this area. An aquarium, wow, that would be a statement. I wish we had moved the garage and put windows there. Wallpaper might be a solution. As for a single piece of artwork, where would that be placed? I think what's throwing me off is the dual landings and changing elevations.

If you choose wallpaper, mirror would be at the bottom depending on what you want to reflect. What style and colors do you prefer?

Jodie, looking at the ht of the wall (20 feet) I think the wall paper would be overwhelming. I like the idea so simplifying and using just artwork. The dual landings still have me doubting where and how to add it.

We once used an epic black and white night time pic of a bridge and skyline from somewhere (chicago??) that came as a wall paper on a feature wall just like yours.

ALWAYS a talking point in the owners home.

Have seen old heritage images from local areas (even of the house itself) used as wallpaper art also.

We have also used a blend of black and white images of signs with only the red part of the sign in colour. Again, great as a feature covering only one wall.

I could see some sort of full size image running from floor to ceiling just on the wall with the mirrors leaning against them.

Paint Peppercorn SW and wall art. Needs to be in scale so need measurements of spaces for it to look right. Here are a few ideas. I like this incorporated as looks like men falling down the stairs and would pop against the dark paint color. Bottom left corner is a space in Peppercorn. It would be gorgeous, but again have not seen the rest of your spaces. Hard to pick art when I do not know your color preferences, style of art and lifestyle, etc... This could be a start of creating a fun wall display on your stairs.
