Pulling my hair out over this one | Lighting

Hey guys!

Quick question on what makes the most sense.

I have 3 different types of lighting here. 2 flushmounts (in middle), 2 can lights (that screw in like light bulbs, on either side of the flushmounts), and one that has no light yet (above window).

What should I do to make this more uniform? Should I do 4 semi flushmounts on the middle and a pendant in front of the window? Make all 4 recessed and one pendant?

(Note that lighting is the only thing up for discussion here....)

Make all recessed lights. The semi flushed are not attractive and having a more uniformed ceiling will keep the focus eye lever where it needs to be.

Room needs some great lighting. Put a large cone pendant over the peninsula and one over sink. Remove the flush mounts and add semi flush ones that compliment the cone one. Not sure what style is but I will post ideas that you can adapt to your style. Bbl

Over peninsula, as one example. I selected gold, but of course, you have to select finishes that work with countertop and other elements you are putting in the space.

Pair these instead of the simple flush mounts. Again, combine finishes for all the fixtures. Lighting is the jewelry of any space and right now, this room has no jewelry. Dress it up!!

I usually agree with Flo but in this case, I would make the flushmounts into recessed as well and then add a pendant over the peninsula and sink. I think 4 lights might be too much in your size space.

It looks like a 9' ceiling to me, but if not the semi flush fixtures are available in flush mounts. All depends on style, which has not been described by the OP.

In looking at your photos and I know you didn't ask (forgive me) but make sure you have sufficient space for faucet at sink. Looks really tight to me. Maybe going for single handle on side? Just a little tip to head off potential problem. What is your ceiling height?

I forgive you :) I've attached a closer picture of faucet and sink. We are adding the white concrete countertops tomorrow.

The ceilings are 9ft. Here is what I've come up with by using some of yalls suggestions (I like mixed metals and clearly I like globe lights haha).
