anyone else seen leaves like this before?

As well as Crocodile, there are other reticulated cultivars. The pattern is due to a benign virus. If the cutting was taken from a reticulated plant it might be a named cultivar. If it was just a sport on a normal plant it won't have a name and it may or may not remain stable.

It's difficult from a picture but I assumed straight away it was an Ivy-Leaf . The shape and texture (smooth, stiff and shiny) look right. If the leaves are smooth rather than hairy it is an IL. I reiterate that Crocodile isn't the only reticulate cultivar. And it's not certain yours is a named cultivar at all. Did it come from an entirely reticulated parent? Or was it a sport? And there is no need to graft since you can take cuttings easily.

not sure what reticulated parent means or sport means..looked it up .i got cutting from small shrub looking plant with pattern through whole plant with bright tips ,like my cutting.didnt look ivy to me coz my ivy have thicker wax looking leaves

It is interesting. I know that a virus has made an ivy-leaf pelargonium sport a branch with those white veins, giving rse to tesselated cultivars. The book "Geraniums" by Faye Brawer" mentions that too. Your plant appears to sport such leaves among normal ones. Did you try to see if a virus from this plant infected other plants? If it's a virus, I'm curious to know if and how zonals and regals were affected.
