Need help with Flooring

Hello everyone,

I want to get rid of the light cream carpet in my kids bedrooms (approximately 180 sq ft each) and my bedroom (bit bigger 17X24 or roughly that size) and replace with luxury 5in vinyl planks. I am struggling with the color of the planks, because the remainder of the floor is real pine flooring (which carries some warm tones). Any ideas? I am looking at Lumber Liquidators Summer Island Teak (the texture is really nice) but I am not sure.

Any suggestion is appreciated.

Putting "faux" wood up against real wood will cheapen the look of both. If you MUST have vinyl then you might want to look at stone or tile-look vinyl. Wood vinyl up against REAL wood = not something that is recommended.

Personally I would use cork as an option. It is a "carpet replacement" product that looks AWESOME up against pine or fir. It is warm, quiet and easy to maintain...without the chemicals found in low-level vinyl (ahem...LL offers very low level in many things).

BTW: google Lumber Liquidator lawsuits. It won't take long. There are hundreds of them. And then have a look at how many of their CEOs have quit over the last 3 years - because of the issues with quality. The first to go was the founder of the company.

Caveat emptor - buyer beware. The warning is in the name "Liquidators".
