There are 1000s of ceiling fixtures , the room is a bit confusing to me it looks like an adults space but there is this tiny chair and sides on the bed.I think i would look for something a bit fun and add some pillows to the bed in the same theme.

Thank you, I don't disagree about adding throw pillows for the bed. His age hasn't warranted more pillows yet as it is more work for me ;) What is not pictured is a fun red vertical bookshelf to the right, and "car" themed sheets from pottery barn. My intent for the room was to be something that could grow with him as the existing furniture and bedding cost $5000- it may seem mature but i felt it was consistent with what was on the market with RH, PB, SL, etc. I think my biggest concern is not having the overhead light compete with the nightstand lights.
