I like the 3rd option, but that's probably because I like the marble look. However, I think number 2 goes really well with your cabinet choice. Good luck. I don't think you can go wrong with any of these.

I also like #3 BUT there's no question for me that #2 is the right one with the cabinets.

I vote for 3 because its unique and more elegant. It compliments the cabinet without limiting into a brown-only forever color palete. I think its more versatile and offers future options if ever again you want change up things in the kitchen.

Not a fan of the lighter granites like your 3rd pick. They suck up stains like a sponge.

HI -- I like the last one ... it is brighter , cleaner looking and looks more like marble which is a classic . The others have so much movement in them that might get tiring over time .

Why does it have to be granite? There are seven million options in easy care quartz!!! I'd re think that cabinetry if at all possible......very, very, very......bordeaux, and a very "complicated" style. Make sure you love it.

If that is your floor you are showing, than none of the granite.

I will go with quartz, as does Jan.

I agree that #2 is the best choice for your cabinets. I think the warmer background works better with your cabinets. To reiterate what wacokid said, after they come template your granite, be sure to go back to the stone yard and watch them lay out your template so you can approve seam placement, etc. You don't want to end up back here with another dilemma like so many folks with bad seam placement!

I'm priced out of quartz - it's double the cost and we are already over budget right now :(

My floor looks very different in the room than it does in the pics. In the kitchen, it's more natural to gray. The cabinets are already in - been delaying the countertop cos I can't decide on a granite that I love. The floor is the picture below.

Thanks katinparadise and wacokid, I did speak to the fabricator and she said they would be giving me 2 seams, one at the sink center and the other at the cooktop center. The rest will be seamless but I'm planning to make sure with them again. They have my sink with them.

I think out of those 3, the Kashmir white would go nicely (because of the burgundy dots)

but the 3rd one isn't bad either... here it is w/your flooring. it does have that bluish undertone, so not sure how it would look in the kitchen.

are their really no other slabs that appeal to you?? Is this the only stoneyard in town?

#3 is it for me. Looks fresh and contemporary :)

Of the three, I like 2. The Kashmir white just looks too cold with the cabinets. How about Sienna Bordeaux? Or continue to look. Your kitchen is beautiful. Search "photos" on Houzz of your cabinet color and floor.

Beth, I love how you did that with the picture - I wish I new how to do that so I can insert my floor with the granite as well. The slabs of Kashmir I saw at my yard were not as nice as the granite in the picture you showed. They were more gray and did not have as much light.

Definitely liked #2.

yes, Jen,, I think your place doesn't have the best selection.

I believe that first one is Alaska white or Arctic white. that one you have pictured is one of the worst I've seen. I've seen Kashmir and that #3 that look much better. Is there another stoneyard you can visit?? what is the price for one of these slabs?

They also have pre-fab countertops that are much cheaper. you can get a 22"X9' pre fab countertop in quartz for $600. then have a fabricator cut it to fit. I've done it on houses and it's fine. these are all pre fab quartz and granite countertops. (and only a small sample of avail colors)

Wow, that selection looks amazing. Where is this yard? I've been to at least 5 different yards and come back disappointed from every one of them. They have a small selection of whites - I see more golds, beiges, blacks, creams - colors I can't use - and no samples. Been going to them for over 3 weeks now and can't keep the kitchen on hold any longer. It's so confusing. I like #2 - I feel like that will be a nice neutral and will allow me to do something good with the backsplash. I'm thinking glass or mirror tile in gray-beige-champagne - depending on what the granite looks like. This is more difficult than I anticipated.......

this is so cal, Anaheim. about a mile from Disneyland. (and this place has a huge selection of tile, but only a small selection of countertops and slabs! )

Where are you located? What price did they give you for that Kashmir white #2? That is a rather lower end granite in case they are trying to give you a high price.

For what it's worth, I also like #2. It just jumped out at me. We are doing a bath update and all of the details are killing me! Lots of things to consider and I am sure you want something that will stand the test of time--appeal to you now and in 5 years! Good luck with your selection!

I'm on the East coast. The first slab is Angelicato, second one is giallo white and the third is white crystal. Issue is, there are some places with granite but they fabricate as well, they won't let us buy the granite and use our own fabricator. Very few yards if u want to just buy the granite.

Thanks for the support, Marina :) You're so right. Initially we started out with antique white but I knew that in a few years I would outgrow it. I'm trying to find elements that I will love and enjoy for many years, but it's so much more stressful than I had ever thought. Hats off to the people who can visualize and work their design magic in homes so effortlessly, wish that would rub off on me for 2-3 weeks ;)

Jen, do any of these places have the pre fabs? Can't believe in NY this is the best one out of 5 that you've gone to!

I had never heard of Angelicato (but different places often rename their slabs) so I tried to find one online. quite a diff from yours.

I like number 3. I just think something less busy will look prettier for your kitchen, especially your cabinet door is on the complicated side.

Are you locked into a fabricator because of your general contractor? Does the fabricator have other stone yards to suggest? I would heed the advice of the pros who have posted. Although the three you posted look nice, none of them as pictured really go well with your cabinet door color. I don't believe I am suggesting this (!!), but if you have stone yards with such limited choices, have you looked at big box stores? They at least have samples to take home.

I've been working with this fabricator for the past few weeks and they have been super nice and helpful. I'm not locked into them but I don't want to go for another fabricator. I would just feel bad doing that to them after how patient they have been with me going back and forth on the different stones. Now if I could just find a stone I liked, I would be a happy camper.

Jen, when I did my granite, I found stone at a different yard and my fabricator bought it and got it fabricated for me. Have you talked to your fabricator to see if that might be a possibiity. After seeing your kitchen (which looks great!) I still think #2 is your best bet. The third just seems too cold for the warmth of the floor and cabinets.

katinparadise, that's exactly how we're doing it. I'm going to different yards and looking at granite. My fabricator is buying and finishing it for me. Unfortunately, not finding many choices at the 5-6 yards I've been to. I'm leaning towards no. #2 as well - I like #3 but I'm hoping to see it indoors or in the shade so I can see the true color of what it will look like in my kitchen.

I'm sorry to hear you're not finding a good selection. I'm in Southwest Florida and I was overwhelmed at the number of stone yards and choices available. It's so difficult to tell what something is going to look like when you see it out in the bright sunlight. I hope you find something you love.

Houzz nation opinions have been shared, sounds like you want to select #3 and want others to confirm that selection. So please choose already and let us know how you enjoy the new brown kitchen. Your dear family has super human patience, I would have made the choice for you long ago _ Cheers!

When I started this post, I was debating between 1 and 2, #3 was an afterthought. Thanks to houzz nation, #1 is totally off the table now. Thank you for helping me narrow it down.

I still vote for #3. It's simple with movements, it's what I personally like. #2 is compatible with you cabinets color but I also think your door is complicated enough and a cleaner looking granite will bring some modern feel to the kitchen.
