Lidia, I check on your post from time to time but missed your most recent posts from two months ago. I can tell from the fixtures that you chose, as well as the stone, that you and your OH must have given so much thought and time to making your decisions. They are all beautiful choices. I'm so glad for you that you have been able to find exceptional craftsmen to carry out your vision. Please post some updated photos when you can. It has been a delight watching your dream home come together.

We’ll be there in a couple weeks...after 3 years the house will be done. Meaning we can sleep, cook and enjoy the interior. I’ll share photos. Thank you for your kind words, they mean more to me than you know.

Hi, Lidia. Just stopped by to see if you had posted anything new. The chandelier with the eagles caught my eye and immediately I knew I wanted to share something with you.

A post here on Houzz mentioned a website about an eagle nest location a number of months ago and out of curiosity, I decided to check it out. I have been hooked!

The location is in Decorah, Iowa and it has a 24/7 "eagle cam" in a nesting tree. I have been home so much over the past three months and I got to watch three eaglets hatch and grow and just last week, fly for the first time. It's been so enjoyable to watch. The chandelier is meant to be ravens/crows. It is a quite unusual kitchen pendent and we love it. Each bird head is slightly different as well as their bodies but not so much so to draw attention away. I’ll be returning to the new place soon but will add a few pics from when I was there last, thanks for checking in!!!

Love my kitchen, just needs a few fixes...like the fridge panels on the left need to be replaced.

The guest bedroom, some art went up during my last visit thanks to a couple handy friends.

Thanks to @jayapple21, I’ve embraced the colors of our swimming hole as one of our predominant accent colors in the sea of greys and beiges...incorporating some VanBriggle and McCoy pottery. I love the many shades of Tiffany blue in them, both matte and glossy pieces. I’ve been adding dish clothes and small art pieces in similar blues.

And a quirky piece of art at the side entrance, to greet the friends who never seem to use the front door. Just love this Charlie Potteresque Bigfoot print!

Three Charlie Harper Serigraphs signed by the artist before he left earth, grace our new home. Here’s one just off the dining room, “Furred Feeder”. The “Squirrel in a Squall” needs to hand in a similar space mirrored in the living room. The “Pack Pact” greets overnight guest in a small landing by their guest room doors. It hangs over an old but loved Baker writing desk with a stained glass Tiffany/craftsman style lamp, suggesting the nature and native themed style of the guest room. The guest room is just above the kitchen, has a private stairway and easy for me to leave fresh brewed coffee and nibbles for our friends and family who like to sleep in and have coffee in bed. I just leave it all on the writing desk just outside their room and text them it’s there so they can privately collect the tray and still enjoy being in their jammies.

I have a Charley Harper signed litho "Pheasant" in my lake home. It represents the Otherhalf's interest in birds (and hunting) in my bird gallery wall. I love Charley Harper's designs. Your Bigfoot there is perfect! I look forward to going back through your thread to watch the transformation here when I get some time!

I love what you’ve done with the place! 20 years ago, we built an Adirondeckish/loggish/craftmannishh ski home in the mountains of Maine, working with a very talented builder. It is such a fun process....

What a beautiful property! It’s the best on this forum! :-) I can’t believe you even have your own waterfall and a swimming “pool”! Very lucky to find a piece of land like that. I don’t know if it would be cheap to change the left side roof design . You could make it a flat roof with shape of a mini castle tower, and have a small rooftop patio. :-)

I love your new home! So many beautiful Craftsman touches inside as well. I am also in TN. Where is your lovely escape? Being near that waterfall is such a blessing. (PS - I thought you were very diplomatic to those who were downright mean on your thread. Good for you!!)

Hi @jayapple, the waterfall on the canvas is Ozone Falls, a short ATV ride from the house. Our waterfall is only about 8’ high but both are fed by Fall Creek which borders 4500’ of our property.

Entry is a work in progress…still need to concrete around the house, add stone steps and some landscaping but it slowly coming along.

When I roll up to the front door, my blood pressure drops to the perfect ranges.

What a nice surprise to see the recent photo of your beautiful home. I continue to be impressed with the quality of construction. Kudos to you and those who worked with you to bring your dreams to life.

Do you get snow in your location during the winter? I imagine with the nearby waterall and creek that your home appears as a scene on a Christmas card. Thank you for sharing.

I didn’t answer you months ago when you asked where I was - College Grove. Halfway between Franklin and Murfrersboro. We have a horse farm.

@jayapple22 as always, thank you for your kind words. We do get snow but not very much and it doesn’t stay too long. The large waterfall is at the state park, about a 5 min ATV ride from the house but we do have the creek close to the house…we’re planning on having a few trees removed so we can see the creek nd encourage the breeze upslope in summer. We’ve had the family of the draftsman to our place for dinner a few times, they’ve become friends. I’m so proud and thankful to him for helping us thru the design process. It’s so cute to see his wife so proud of her husband, they’re SO young and sweet.

@RedRyder thank you! Oh my I hear that part of TN is pretty! We know some people in Franklin, they own a large are too with horses and they just love it. I’m looking forward to visiting the area this summer.

It looks wonderful. Reminds me of classic national park hotel architecture because it was designed for its location in the woods.

It is fun to see the finished product! It really is beautiful! I have had the privilege to stay in a couple of FLW houses and some of the old WPA lodges. I am a huge fan of both, and I think your home is a nice mixture of the two.
