Is the tile for the floor? The shower? Right off hand I don't see a problem.

Hi Theresa, it's tough to tell from a picture but they don't appear to clash. They look like they work well together and should be a nice contrast. I'm also not understanding how you're using the tile. Is it wall tile and where is it being placed? My concern comes from the size and seam placement.

Thanks for questions/comments! The onyx-look tile is large, 5ft by 10 ft wall tile. Seams, where needed, will be strategically placed. The wood is solid walnut, to be used for vanities/cabinets. Ryan, because the tile is being placed around a tub and then extended behind the toilet and sink-vanity in our (about) 6 x 9 bathroom, we are planning to place it horizontally. May I ask what you used for your countertops?

Horizontal tile will make an already small room look squatty and small. Especially the far shorter wall. Vertical tile gives the illusion of height, bigger and taller.
