That plant definitely needs some fertilizer. Gardentone is a dry organic fertilizer. It is slow acting and needs biological activity to break it down. Not the best choice for containers. A liquid fertilizer is a better choice since the nutrients it contains will be immediately available to the plants.

Ensure your watering properly, waiting till pot is practically dry. Lift the pot and gauge it's weight before watering.

With that said, and bottom yellowing leaves aside, the whole plant is looking pretty yellow. Beans should be a really dark green, could be ph, a nute lockout, over watering, or nitrogen deficiency. Rule out nitrogen by applying a water soluble fertilizer high in N at the recommended rate. If it doesn't green up within a few days after treatment, it's one of the other culprits. Gardentone is very low on Nitrogen btw.

I thought beans are nitrogen producers why you would want a low N fertilizer. I do have some liquid fish fertilizer I could use. Also if the soil is moist should I still fertilize? I dk if over watering would just make it worse.

They can fix their own nitrogen, it's not to the extent where they don't need any N added though. They will be on the yellow side without it and can still produce in nitrogen deficient soils. Poorly at that though, It's a good beginner plant for said reasons.

Can wait or do it now won't really make a difference but you'll see faster results and get down to the bottom of things by ruling things out. Don't expect the bottom leaves to green up though.

Pull off the bottom leaves and throw in the garbage. Water with Miracle Gro. Those wood chips as mulch aren't good for container plants. They use nitrogen to break down, taking it away from plants in containers.
