Look for warmer ranges in the color you select and keep it well saturated as a color too. You need to create a string visual statement at the door as you have relatively monotone colors elsewhere. To further the contemporary flavor, consider a more contemporary larger scaled lantern replacement as well. A deep robins egg might be ok as long as it errs to the warm range, but you'll be better coordinated if you seek colors that are already in the warm pallet.

added thought, get larger pot(s) for the plants by the door and pull the door color into the pots to further pull the eye to the entrance. a coordinated mat would be a nice bonus at the door. perhaps one that almost fills the width and depth of the alcove.
