I know that some in the forum have had this plant in the past and may even now have it in their collections.

I no nothing about its ploidy.

Have some of you have gotten it to flower?

In theory, would its semi aquatic nature lend a higher tolerance to moist conditions in possible hybrids?

I don't own one yet, but when I move back to the US, I would like to add it to the collection.

Does anyone know much about its winter care/ cold tolerance? I read a brief mention of it possibly needing exposure to freezing temperatures for flower production......?
