and it is not surprising that a newly planted rhodie is having trouble getting established ... browning leaves ....

and moving them again.. isnt going to help them ...

in many parts of the country ... its is not great shrub planting/moving time ... in my MI.. im in the 4th week of drought.. and second week of 90 plus heat ... not shrub planting time ..

Southern Oklahoma. It's been going on for about 1.5-2 months; since the sun shifted into its summer trek across the sky. I was reading through some of the other threads and realized that one is doing better than the other and they both get the same amount of sun and water. So it dawned on me I might just have to give them a little more time to get established. I didn't want to move them, but it seemed if I didn't they were going to die, so I figured I'd take the chance of them maybe dying after moving them or they definitely die if I leave them be. In a different thread, about hydrangeas I think, they suggested helping out a new plant with some temporary shade. So I went out and put a chair over the Rhodie that is the worst of the two. I will remove it later on when the sun goes down and then put it back sometime tomorrow afternoon. Hopefully, this will help it to bounce back. Anything else I might be able to do to help it along?
